To serve with our Prison Ministry, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) requires all volunteers to attend a ⏱️ four-hour training at πŸ›οΈ Buster Cole State Jail.

Without this training, you may only visit 4️⃣ times as a guest.

  • πŸ•’ Arrive by 7:30 AM to check in as a group.

  • βœ… Bring inside: Only your πŸͺͺ ID and πŸ”‘ keys.

  • 🚫 Leave in your vehicle: πŸ“± phones, πŸ‘› wallets, and ⌚ smartwatches.

After your training, TDCJ approval takes about 4–6 weeks.

At that time, please call and email TDCJ Volunteer Services to check your status:

Starting January 2026, we will move to Saturday jail visits β€” serving the Buster Cole prison campus every single week πŸ“†πŸ™.

We will organize multiple volunteer teams 🀝 so everyone can serve effectively and consistently.
