Celebrate Christmas in July as Gateway Performing Arts presents Irving Berlin’s White Christmas! This beloved classic is sure to delight familiar and new audiences alike!
In this classic story, World War II veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters Betty and Judy Haynes who are traveling to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge. That’s where Bob and Phil discover the lodge is owned by their former army commander, General Henry Waverly. In the middle of matchmaking and Christmas shenanigans, Bob and Phil discover the lodge is struggling to make ends meet. Along with the sisters, the inn’s staff, and a slew of Waverly’s former troops, they take matters into their own hands to put on an unforgettable show and save the livelihood of their longtime friend.

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas is based on the beloved film with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin. The production features many favorites including, “Blue Skies,” “I Love a Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean,” and the timeless title song, “White Christmas.” The stage version of White Christmas premiered on Broadway in 2008 and was nominated for two Tony Awards.
